When and why did you start training for fighting? At first, I played American football and I tried in the offseason to lose weight with my best friend Giovanni Pinelli, but after the first day, I couldn't stop training. 

What ranks and titles have you held? I won the European title WFCA in Prague, and as an amateur, I won the IMMAF world title in 2014 and the Italian amateur title in 2014, 2013 and 2012. 

Do you have any heroes? In MMA Georges St-Pierre is the best MMA fighter for me. In science, Leonardo da Vinci one of the most important Italian intellectuals in history. 

What does it mean for you to fight in the UFC? The possibility to fight with the best fighters in the world and to demonstrate that Italians can be dominant in this sport.

Did you go to college and if so what degree did you earn? I studied sport science in the University of Foro Italico in Rome. 

What was your job before you started fighting? I was a trainer of an American football team for fitness.
