Biographie

TRAINING: I start my day with strength and conditioning at 8am. Then I get some boxing pad/bag work in or technique and drills in. either at 11am or 12pm. After my second training session, I usually go get some cryotherapy done like three hours before my last training session of the day, which is at 6pm to 7:30/8pm and is usually either MMA, wrestling, boxing/kickboxing and jiu-jitsu with gi or no-gi. And depending on how sore I am, I usually hit the cryotherapy again after my last training session. I do this routine from Monday to Friday. On Saturday sometimes I’ll get in a small morning run and then I go to the chiropractor or get a massage followed by some cryotherapy. And on Sunday I just get in a session of fascial stretch therapy and rest throughout the day.

When and why did you start training to become a fighter?
I started training Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu for self-defense in 2005. Soon after I began training kickboxing and got into MMA.

Do you have any heroes? Yes, my mother and my grandmother.

What does it mean for you to fight in the UFC?
It means the world to me. It’s a dream come true. But at the same time it’s now an uphill climb to the top. I want to prove that I belong with the elite.

Did you go to college and if so what degree did you earn? I went to the University of Guam. I am still working on my degree.

What was your job before you started fighting? I used to work as a Legal Secretary at a law firm. I also worked as a Cook at a restaurant.
