The wait for the return of former light heavyweight champion Lyoto Machida is over, as "The Dragon" will headline UFC Fight Night against Derek Brunson in Sao Paulo, Brazil on Oct. 28.
The event will air live on FS1 from Ginásio do Ibirapuera.
The ability of middleweight contender Brunson to either grapple his way to victory or use his heavy hands to score a knockout has made him one of the toughest puzzles to figure out at 185 pounds. But the toughest may be Machida, who will return to action for the first time since 2015 to battle Brunson.
It's a pivotal bout for both men, with Machida attempting to kickstart his career and get back to the top, while Brunson looks to capitalize on his knockouts of Dan Kelly, Uriah Hall and Roan Carneiro by adding another big name to his list as he works for a world title shot.
