Thursday Fight Updates for March / April Cards

The madness of UFC 183 fight week has not slowed down UFC matchmakers Joe Silva and Sean Shelby, as five more compelling bouts have been added to upcoming events in March and April.

On March 14 in Dallas, two rising stars in the heavyweight division will collide in UFC 185 action, as Arlington, Texas’ Jared “The Big Show” Rosholt attempts to bounce back from a November 2014 loss to Aleksiy Oliynik against heavy-handed fellow prospect Josh “Cuddly Bear” Copeland.

Things continue to heat up in April, as the UFC Fight Night card in Fairfax, Virginia on April 4th has received a jolt of high-quality action in the form of a featherweight bout between perennial contender Clay Guida and hard-hitting Californian Robbie Peralta, and a middleweight matchup pitting Justin Jones against Ron Stallings. Both Jones and Stallings made their Octagon debut on short notice, but with a full training camp for this bout, fans will truly see what these 185-pounders can do on fight night.

Next, it’s off to Krakow on April 11, as the UFC’s first event in Poland will see Zabrze native Peter Sobotta return home for a welterweight bout against Brazilian vet Sergio Moraes.

Finally, New Jersey’s own Nick Catone will return to action at Prudential Center in Newark on April 18, as he takes on Brazil’s Vitor Miranda on the UFC on FOX card headlined by the bout between fellow middleweights Lyoto Machida and Luke Rockhold.
