The Ultimate Fighter Brazil Launches Casting Call

THE ULTIMATE FIGHTER® BRAZIL launches casting call for its FOURTH SEASON 
Tryouts to be held in Rio de Janeiro on Monday, October 27
Bantamweights and lightweights invited to tryout

São Paulo – The UFC® will be hosting a casting call for the fourth season of its Brazilian reality TV show, The Ultimate Fighter<sup>®, airing on Globo, on Monday, October 27 at the Windsor Barra hotel in Rio de Janeiro. Tryouts will be open to bantamweights (61 kg) and lightweights (70 kg). This season’s coaches have not yet been announced.
All candidates for The Ultimate Fighter® Brazil should be between 18 and 35 years of age and have a minimum of three professional Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) fights – holding a winning record (with verifiable records). Former UFC fighters are not eligible to participate. Applicants cannot be signed with any other fight promotion or must be able to provide written proof that they will be let out of their contracts the day of the tryouts. Candidates shall be responsible for all expenses involving their participation in the first stage of the tryouts. This includes such items as lodging, food and transportation.
Prior to the tryouts, applications must be completed online http://www.ufc.com.br/inscricoes-tufbrasil4, beginning October 8. Applicants must also submit original documents at the tryouts. The UFC and the production team reserve the exclusive right to select the fighters and the final weight classes to be featured this season.

Fighters will be required to grapple and hit pads. Please bring appropriate gear.
*Applicants will be notified at the end of the tryouts if they have been selected to continue on in the casting process. If selected, applicants must be prepared to stay in Rio de Janeiro an additional three days. The production team will cover accommodation and flight change fees. However, the cost of a return ticket remains the responsibility of the applicant.

The first season of The Ultimate Fighter Brazil, in 2012, featured middleweights and featherweights and was won by Cezar Mutante and Rony Jason, respectively. The second season of the Brazilian edition aired in March 2013, and crowned welterweight winner Leo Santos. Most recently, in May, Antônio Carlos Jr. and Warlley Alves were victorious as the third season’s heavyweight and middleweight winners, respectively.
The Ultimate Fighter, which debuted in 2005, has launched the careers of more than 100 UFC fighters and produced champions such as Forrest Griffin, Rashad Evans, Matt Serra and TJ Dillashaw and season winners including Michael Bisping, Ryan Bader and Nate Diaz. Currently in its 20th season in the United States, the show features strawweight women competing for the first ever 115-pound belt.
