German Broadcast Deal Announced With Maxdome

 

UFC® today announced a broadcast partnership with maxdome, part of leading German media group ProSeibenSat1, , commencing with one of the biggest events in the sporting calendar this year; UFC® 190: ROUSEY vs. CORREIA.
The multi-year deal begins in time for viewers in Germany, Austria and Switzerland to watch the event live from Brazil on maxdome, at 4:00 a.m CEST on Saturday August 1.
The deal will see maxdome exclusively air UFC numbered events , UFC FIGHT NIGHT® events from Europe, Middle East and Africa,  FOX Fight Nights
The announcement comes following another outstanding year for UFC in Germany. The return to television screens across Germany, Austria and Switzerland builds on the success of  UFC FIGHT NIGHT®: JEDRZEJCZYK vs. PENNE, which was held at the o2 World in Berlin on June 20 where fans witnessed the first title fight to be held in continental Europe.
With an actively engaged mixed martial arts community and UFC audience in the country, the deal will build upon  increasing demand in the market and cements the substantial growth seen within the EMEA region in 2014 and 2015, adding yet another major market to the international broadcast reach of UFC.

The channel is the latest to join the exclusive group of UFC rights holders from Europe, Middle East and Africa, including BT Sport, Fight Channel, Setanta, Kombat Sport, VGTRK and Extreme, who will provide programming as demand for the world’s fastest growing sport intensifies.
