The UFC released the following updated statement regarding Thiago Silva this morning:
"The Ultimate Fighting Championship has terminated the contract of Thiago Silva, effective immediately."
original statement released February 6: "This evening, we were made aware of a situation involving Thiago Silva. We are in the process of gathering facts and have no further comment at this time."
