See Which Fighters Moved Up And Down In The Latest Edition Of The Rankings

The latest updates to the UFC rankings across all divisions are here. Take a look at which fighters have moved up and down in the most recent edition, and whose rankings are on the line at UFC Fight Night: Allen vs Craig.

Three divisions - lightweight, heavyweight, and women’s strawweight - all saw updates to their rankings following UFC 295: Procházka vs Pereira. The men’s pound-for-pound list also saw movement.

Men’s Pound-For-Pound

The men’s pound-for-pound list underwent some notable changes following this weekend's matches. As your new light heavyweight champion, Alex Pereira surged to No.5 in the rankings following his impressive victory over Jiri Procházka. Pereira’s ascent caused a ripple effect, pushing everyone sitting at No.6 through No.10 down a spot. Procházka experienced a two-spot drop and now resides on the periphery of the top fifteen at No.15.

Following a year-long absence in 2022 due to a knee injury, Pinheiro extended her winning streak to nine by securing a split decision triumph over Michelle Waterson-Gomez at UFC 287 in Miami, and she currently holds the No. 9 spot in the rankings.

Among all the fights on the card, aside from the main event, this matchup carries significant ranking implications and will definitely provide valuable insights into the current standing of both fighters in the division and offer a glimpse into what can be expected from them in the future. This represents Pinheiro's most formidable challenge to date and serves as a crucial benchmark for Ribas. The clash between these compatriots inside the Octagon promises to be a good one.

The last two fighters to make the walk will be No.10 Brendan Allen and No.13 Paul Craig as they look to close out the year with another quality effort in the final bout at the APEX this year.

Looking at the middleweight division in the coming year, particularly with a championship bout scheduled for UFC 297 in Toronto, the stakes are high. A strong performance and a quality victory for either fighter would position them well for another matchup against a ranked opponent and continued ascent up the divisional ranks in the first quarter of 2024.
