Biographie

TRAINING:  For this fight I'm pushing myself harder and harder as I move up the ranks and continue winning ... Each fight gets tougher and the guys are more experienced, so I'm doing my strength training in the morning followed by my sparring and wrestling mid-day. Then I finish off the day with more cardio and drilling. Every day is something different, but I'm making sure I work on everything.

When and why did you start training for fighting?
2003, I started training after college football.

What ranks and titles have you held? None

Do you have any heroes?  Best friend Bryan "Jop Jop" Joplin, MMA fighter (passed away)

What is your favorite technique? Stand and bang

What does it mean for you to fight in the UFC?  It’s a dream come true. To be part of this is one thing but to actually fight for them is crazy. When I started fighting I didn't even think I would get close. And after every fight, fans would say ‘man, can't wait to see you in the UFC.’ I love the sport and the fans, and God blessed me, so now I'm taking it in and working hard to be at the top.

Did you go to college and if so what degree did you earn? Currently attending - attempting bachelors.

What was your job before you started fighting?
Parks & Recreation for city of Buena Park

•    Pro since 2008

•   Seven wins by knockout

•    Scored two KO wins in a combined 1:55 between UFC bouts in 2011.

•    On five fight unbeaten streak
