TRAINING: Strength and conditioning or technique in the mornings and sparring/grappling/wrestling in the evenings

When and why did you start training for fighting? I started training after I graduated college in May of 2005. I have always enjoyed competition and loved the sport of mixed martial arts so this is just another way to test my abilities.

What ranks and titles have you held? In wrestling I was a four-time Oklahoma state champion and three-time outstanding wrestler, 2nd in H.S. nationals in 2000. Went to the University of Oklahoma on a wrestling scholarship but was plagued with injuries throughout my career there.

Do you have any heroes? My Mom and Dad

What does it mean for you to fight in the UFC? The first time I saw the UFC I think I was in the sixth grade, and from that point on I knew that one day I wanted to fight for them.

Did you go to college and if so what degree did you earn? I went to the University of Oklahoma and earned a Bachelors degree in sociology.

What was your job before you started fighting? Police officer - still active duty

•    Took time off after the Black fight to attend and graduate from the Oklahoma City Police Department Academy.

•    Four wins by TKO / KO; five wins by submission.
